Generating high quality statistics relies on eliminating gender bias at all stages of the production process. This blog looks at how gender bias occurs in statistics and what the ILO is doing to support efforts to minimize it.
Samantha joined the ILO in 2020. She leads the Closing the gender gap on unpaid domestic and care work project, an ILO initiative in partnership with Data 2X. Previously, she worked in academia, researching agrarian change, migration, and gendered divisions of labour and time-use.
